Jorg Karg

Jorg Karg (1982) is a German artist who has had a passion for photos from an early age. For the last 12 years he has been making digital collages. He combines techniques that are on the edge of digital collages, conceptual graphic design and photo editing. He is self-taught in this style, one that he developed himself as he gained more experience.
Jorg Karg’s motto is ‘back to the beholder’. His work has a unique identity that he has developed over the years. Jorg Karg uses contemporary imagery and techniques that he combines with the old, fundamental rules of painting and drawing. With his visual language he wants to touch, move, or start a conversation with the viewer. His language also connects seamlessly with influences from contemporary media and almost forgotten ideas about shapes, colors and expressions.
Jorg Karg was nominated for the BLOOOM Award 2016 (Art fair Cologne) and was shortlisted for the Ashurst emerging prize 2017. Since then, he has had exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. In 2018 and 2019, he continued his successful journey and his work was recognized with several awards, including the PX3 Paris Photo Award and the IPA International Photography Award. Several countries have since been added to the list where he holds his exhibitions. His works can now also be seen in France, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, USA and Australia and have been published in several magazines and through other media.
