Vincent Prieur

Vincent Prieur is a French artist and also calls himself a pinseyeur, a collector of leftover material from the sea for his works of art. By creating his work he restores the natural breaking of the waves on the French coast. The violence of nature regularly leaves behind unexpected materials, which Vincent processes into works of art in which the violence is no longer visible.

The creation of his work arises in a free way, Vincent is driven by his urge to make, instead of by the end result. His works of art are therefore not only instinctive and authentic because of their raw materials, but also because of the transformation of these raw materials into art.
