Anke Birnie her sculptures are almost always unique due to working in the Circe perdu (lost wax method). They are tall, slender figures with loose flapping clothing. Strength and fragility are united in their appearance. Being aware of their vulnerability, they dare to surrender to life. Movements and postures are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Anke.
