“Where is it, what are they doing, who are they?” The work of Jasper van Deutekom often raises these questions. Jasper’s work is his romantic view of the world, of moments that need to be painted. He translates the image into an experience. Caught in a photo, the work has already originated in his head. Often it is a snapshot, a snapshot, an impression.
